It would be reductive to pigeon-hole Florence as “just” the birthplace of the renaissance and the Italian language: Florence is a truly magnificent and splendid world city that ranks with a place of honour in any such list.
A stay here, not too short and hurried, will give the visitor a feel for the importance of the city that is set in the beautiful soft and light landscape that form the backdrop to so many masterpieces. You can see many of these in the …“Uffizi”… galleries or wander at a leisurely pace among the streets, squares, parks and panoramic terraces of Florence, or visit its museums, churches, baptisteries, princely dwellings and, what is more, you are sure to be enchanted by this place.
To ascend “inside” Brunelleschi’s dome to Santa Maria del Fiore and to go out from the “Lucerna” to view the city through three hundred and sixty degrees … is a truly unforgettable experience.
Florence is both splendid by day and fascinating by night.
Florence will extend to you its proverbial welcome and cordial hospitality.
There is a sense of magic in Florence, as you take a wonderful leap into its glorious past in the presence of the spirit of all that has made this place so enchanting, unique and unforgettable.
