Our Bed and Breakfast is near Appia-Tuscolana – Cinecitta, near the Metro Line A: in a few minutes you can easily move the heart of the capital and points of interest. Our B&B has three bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and toilets and is located on the second floor of a modern building with lift. Our bed and breakfast is a few meters from the Metro Line A “Giulio Agricola”, easily reachable from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, and near the ring road.

The Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella (Cecilia Metella’s tomb),  is  very close to the B&B.

The flat is composed by 3 rooms one bathroom and the kitchen. It is fully furnished: in the living room there is the Tv 32″ with SAT and the Hi.Fi with DVD. The Heating is centralized and for the summer you have the air conditioning There is a pc with internet 24/24h and all the apartment is covered by a wi-fi line.

The kitchen is furnished of microwave, caffatteria, toaster and obviusly gas cooker/oven fridge with freezer and washing machine with iron The bathroom has a very big shower and obviusly the hairdryier.

Arriving at the motorway (G.R.A.) around Roma take it and came out at exit number 23 (via Appia Nuova), go straight for about 10 km than go back toward “RE di Roma” square following the circle,after 2 traffic lights you will see a petrol station on a big square, straight after you turn right:Circonvallazione Appia.

- BY PLANE

Arriving at Fiumicino airport just catch the “Leonardo Express” to Termini station, than take the line A (direction Anagnina) 4 stops to Ponte Lungo Station.

Or (from Fiumicino) catch the train “FM1” (direction “Fara Sabina”) to Tuscolana station.

From Ciampino airport you can get a shuttle bus to Anagnina station, than take the line A to Ponte lungo station.

- BY TRAIN

From the main Termini station catch the tube line A (direction Anagnina) and after 4 stops you will arrive to Ponte Lungo station.

A very convenient B&B, located in a very lively area, with plenty of shops and restaurants and well connected to the historical centre by the underground trains in a few minutes’ ride (metro station at 2 minutes walking distance)

If you are interested in ancient history, from this area you can easily reach Via Appia Antica (Appian Way), and visit the interesting catacombs of San Callisto, San Sebastiano and Santa Domitilla. On Sundays a long section of the road is closed to traffic. This is a great place for a stroll, especially at sunset. Don’t miss it: it’s an unforgettable experience. . .

If you wish to make an interesting excursion, we suggest a visit to the Castelli Romani, (a collective name which indicates 13 picturesque  small towns scattered on the Alban Hills), the most famous of which are Castelgandolfo, overlooking a beautiful volcanic lake, Frascati and Genzano. You can reach them by bus (from the Anagnina Station) or by train (from Termini Station).

Arco di Travertino on A line

Via Tuscolana is an important commercial road, starting from Via Appia Nuova and leading south of Rome. After about 20 km you will reach the Castelli Romani, a bunch of  picturesque small towns scattered on the Alban Hills, the most famous of which are Castelgadolfo, overlooking a volcanic lake, where the Pope has his summer residence, and Frascati, known for its typical white wine and its special biscuits. At Nemi you will discover another small and romantic volcanic lake.
You can reach some of the Castelli Romani by bus from the Anagnina station and by train from Termini Station.  Don’t miss them, they really deserve an excursion. You will not be disappointed

From this area you can easily reach Parco della Caffarella (Caffarella Park) and visit St.Urbano curch (VIIth century) as well as the famous Cecilia Metella’s Tomb (or Mausoleum) dating from the 50th year B.C., and from there drift into Rome’s history while walking along Via Appia Antica with its millenarian tombstones bearing latin inscriptions and its ancient pavement dating from 312 B.C.

Not far from Cecilia Metella’s Tomb are the recently discovered Capo di Bove baths,  probably dating from the IInd Century. The Catacombs of San Callisto, of San Sebastiano and of Santa Domitilla are also worth visiting.
Via Appia Antica still attracts millions of visitors all year round, but also Romans use to go there just for a sunset stroll.

Our two apartments are conveniently located near a metro station and many bus stops. You will reach the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums in 20 minutes and it’s just a 15-minute metro ride to St. Peter’s Square,  from where you can simply  walk to Castel Sant’Angelo.

For whom might be interested, Cinecitta’ Studios are at 4 minutes by metro.

The apartments are well equipped and special attention has been paid to every detail so as to ensure our guests the maximum privacy and a pleasant relax after a full day visiting Rome.

The area is lively, with plenty of shops, supermarkets, chemist’s shops (some open also at night), banks, car rentals, typical restaurants and pizzerie.

A B&B on the third floor of a completely restored building in a residential area of Tuscolano district, 300 m. from  “Lucio Sestio”  underground station  (A line), 15 minutes from the historical center of the city.

The house is carefully run  by your host who will take care of you and give you useful suggestions. Prices are very reasonable, from  25 euros per person per night. Three rooms with private bathroom , very well furnished and provided with tv set, AC, fridge-bar, safe and hair-dryer. One of the rooms has a nice balcony with table and chairs. You are also allowed to use the kitchen, if wou wish,  so that you can stay not in a simple bedroom but in a real apartment.

Our aim , according to a well-known and very popular trend, is to offer our guests comfort, safety, and quality service of a good range hotel, but also freedom and the warm atmosphere of a home. Our comfortable and recently renovated 2-storey villa is situated near to the exit 18 (Casilina) of Grande Raccordo Anulare (outer ring) therefore it is a perfect destination for both tourists and businessmen. It is very close to Ciampino airport, to the motorways (Rm-Na, Rm-Aq), to the University of Tor Vergata and to the Hospital of Tor Vergata. For those who love shopping, it is only a five-minute-drive to arrive at the shopping malls of Tor Vergata, Romanina, Anagnina or at Ikea.

The city center can be easily reached by taking the tram or Metro A from Anagnina station.

Welcome to my Bed & Breakfast called “All’Ombra dell’Appia Antica”. The historical centre of town can be easily reached from our B&B with public transport: S.Giovanni, Piazza di Spagna, the Vatican, the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the catacombs …. all the ancient Rome.

You will be able to stay in a very peaceful area  full of public parks within the famous Park of the Appia Antica, on the way to the Park of the “Acquedotti”.

All’ombra dell’Appia Antica is a detached house, multilevel with a broad garden overlooking tall pine trees on the “Statuario” area. We have chosen to live here because we feel citizens of a metropolis but in the same time we love nature.
We are environmental friendly that’s the reason why we have a power generation solar system.

Coming to our B&B you can not only visit the “Eternal City” but also walk and bike in the nearby parks where you can find the atmosphere of the ancient Rome and the “Pontina”s countryside.
With Bikes made available to our guests,  you can ride through the “Appia Antica”  and see the “Aurelian’s walls”, the “Caracalla” thermal bath, the “Circus Massimo” and many other historical site.

We have made a small structure with special care for special travellers. Special because they want to live Rome wholly.
