Our Bed and Breakfast is near Appia-Tuscolana – Cinecitta, near the Metro Line A: in a few minutes you can easily move the heart of the capital and points of interest. Our B&B has three bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and toilets and is located on the second floor of a modern building with lift. Our bed and breakfast is a few meters from the Metro Line A “Giulio Agricola”, easily reachable from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, and near the ring road.

Arco di Travertino on A line

Via Tuscolana is an important commercial road, starting from Via Appia Nuova and leading south of Rome. After about 20 km you will reach the Castelli Romani, a bunch of  picturesque small towns scattered on the Alban Hills, the most famous of which are Castelgadolfo, overlooking a volcanic lake, where the Pope has his summer residence, and Frascati, known for its typical white wine and its special biscuits. At Nemi you will discover another small and romantic volcanic lake.
You can reach some of the Castelli Romani by bus from the Anagnina station and by train from Termini Station.  Don’t miss them, they really deserve an excursion. You will not be disappointed

From this area you can easily reach Parco della Caffarella (Caffarella Park) and visit St.Urbano curch (VIIth century) as well as the famous Cecilia Metella’s Tomb (or Mausoleum) dating from the 50th year B.C., and from there drift into Rome’s history while walking along Via Appia Antica with its millenarian tombstones bearing latin inscriptions and its ancient pavement dating from 312 B.C.

Not far from Cecilia Metella’s Tomb are the recently discovered Capo di Bove baths,  probably dating from the IInd Century. The Catacombs of San Callisto, of San Sebastiano and of Santa Domitilla are also worth visiting.
Via Appia Antica still attracts millions of visitors all year round, but also Romans use to go there just for a sunset stroll.

Our two apartments are conveniently located near a metro station and many bus stops. You will reach the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums in 20 minutes and it’s just a 15-minute metro ride to St. Peter’s Square,  from where you can simply  walk to Castel Sant’Angelo.

For whom might be interested, Cinecitta’ Studios are at 4 minutes by metro.

The apartments are well equipped and special attention has been paid to every detail so as to ensure our guests the maximum privacy and a pleasant relax after a full day visiting Rome.

The area is lively, with plenty of shops, supermarkets, chemist’s shops (some open also at night), banks, car rentals, typical restaurants and pizzerie.

A B&B on the third floor of a completely restored building in a residential area of Tuscolano district, 300 m. from  “Lucio Sestio”  underground station  (A line), 15 minutes from the historical center of the city.

The house is carefully run  by your host who will take care of you and give you useful suggestions. Prices are very reasonable, from  25 euros per person per night. Three rooms with private bathroom , very well furnished and provided with tv set, AC, fridge-bar, safe and hair-dryer. One of the rooms has a nice balcony with table and chairs. You are also allowed to use the kitchen, if wou wish,  so that you can stay not in a simple bedroom but in a real apartment.

You can’t certainly imagine how special and exciting your holiday will be in this B&B full of colours and sensations where you will enjoy the warm and unique hospitality for which Italians are well known. Your host will give you accurate information about what to see and what to do (you certainly know the famous saying “when in Rome do as the Romans do”)…Very close to your b&b there is the Parco degli acquedotti (Park of Aqueducts) , one of the most impressive archaeological sites in ancient Rome, connected with the Appian way (the famous “ Regina viarum”, the Queen of the roads). You will be stunned by the overwhelming majesty of the millenarian ruins rising from the green meadows.

If you wish to go to Cinecittà for an audition you can simply walk to the Studios. You can also easily reach the University of Tor Vergata and Ikea store. If you wish to make an interesting excursion we warmly suggest the Castelli Romani, a dozen of picturesque villages scattered on top of the Colli Albani. Frascati, Marino, Genzano and Nemi are perhaps the best known among them. Castelgandolfo, overlooking a beautiful lake is the summer residence of the Pope and it surely deserves a visit. Just take a bus from the Anagnina Station. You surely will keep for a long time the memory of wonderful landscapes and treasures of art as well as, last but not least, of the taste of delicious food and excellent wine

If you want to reach the very heart of Rome, just take the line A of the underground and get off at Spagna. There you might wish to climb the famous Spanish Steps and go for a fantastic walk in the marvellous Villa Borghese. A few steps away from Piazza di Spagna, as you approach Piazza di Trevi, the most famous fountain in the world will welcome you with the music of its water and its theatrical scenery. But you can’t miss the two highlights of Rome (the amazing Colosseum and the imposing St. Peter’s Basilica) that you can reach either by underground or by bus.Shopping opportunities. Via Tuscolana, a stone’s throw from your b&b, is one of the most important commercial areas in Rome, where you will find anything you need. There are shops of all kinds and huge shopping centres.

How to reach the B&B

By train
From Termini Train Station get on line A subway direction Anagnina and get off at Lucio Sestio Stop; walk on Via Lucio Sestio until the first traffic light and then turn left; walk for another 100 meters on Viale Spartaco: you’ll find the BB at number 30

You will be welcomed by a dynamic friendly family, who make every effort to ensure your stay is comfortable and carefree, offering you the chance to enjoy typical dishes, pizza cooked in the wood-burning oven and excellent Frascati and Castelli Romani wines.

The B&B also has a recreation room where you can organise dancing or a table tennis match and on request it is possible to make use of the kitchen.

The ideal place for a relaxing holiday both for visiting the centre of Rome and the attractions in the surrounding area, such as the Nemi Lakes and Castel Gandolfo, which also has well-equipped lidos.

With double, triple or quadruple rooms, it is the ideal B&B for large groups and for families with children.

Also recommended for those looking for short or medium-term accommodation for courses and exams at the Tor Vergata University or for those working at the offices of American Express, Ericsson or the Ikea megastore.

How to get to us

Directions from Rome airport Ciampino:

Take the bus to Anagnina and bus 505

From the railway station “Stazione Termini”:Take the underground Metropolitana Line A in the direction of “Anagnina” and get off at anagnina and take bus 505.

By car :

From the motorway “Autostrada A1″ take the G.R.A. (Grande Raccordo Anulare) in the Appia direction and get to exit 21 (direction Grotta Ferrata)

The residence has excellent links to the centre thanks to the vicinity of line A of the metro

How to get to us:

From Termini station take Line A of the metro and get off at the Cinecittà stop, then take bus 451 for a few stops.

If on the other hand you wish to discover the heart of the ‘eternal city’, it takes just a few minutes by metro or bus to the magnificent Piazza di Spagna, with its elegant streets, Piazza Navona, particularly characteristic during the Christmas period, and the Trevi fountain, not to be missed, where tourists toss in a coin in the hopes of returning.

The hotel has 5 large bright rooms with wood furnishings and equipped with various comforts such as air-conditioning, TV, mini-bar and private bathroom.

Continental breakfast is served from 8.00 to 12.00, for different times please inform the staff at the porter’s lodge, where you can also request information and organise trips, visits and various events.

From Termini station take Line A of the metro towards Anagnina, getting off at the NUMIDIO QUADRATO stop.
From Leonardo da Vinci airport take the FS train service to Termini or Tuscolana station and from Tuscolana station continue along Via Gela. Take the metro from the Pontelungo stop towards Anagnina and get off at the Numidio Quadrato stop.
