El Dorado is an attractive and delightful B&B located in the centre of Rome, in Prati district, at a short distance from St. Peter’s Square and Piazza del Popolo. Housed in a historical early-20th-Century building, it’s a newly renovated flat, appointed with attention to the smallest detail.

A 5-minute walk will take you to St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Castel Sant’Angelo, and on foot you can go to Via Cola di Rienzo and Via del Corso for shopping. In the surroundings there are bars, restaurants, chemist’s shops and banks, and in a few minutes you can reach Lepanto metro station and take Line A, which will take you quickly to most of Rome’s main historical sites and tourist attractions.

El Dorado consists of five double rooms, three of which have en-suite private bathrooms and two have a shared bathroom

All the rooms are spacious and bright, have comfortable beds, air- conditioning, LCD TV, mini-bar and free wireless internet connection.

A copious breakfast will be served in the rooms in the morning, from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. A top-flight service and an extreme cleanliness are our main concern since our guests’satisfaction is our top priority.

How to reach us

From Fiumicino Airport: take the Leonardo Express to Termini Station, then the metro (Line A), direction San Pietro and get off at Lepanto. El Dorado is 300 metres from the metro station.

From Ciampino Airport: take the Terravision Shuttle to Termini Station, then follow the above instructions.

We have a pick-up and transfer service, to be requested when booking the rooms.

Welcome to the heart of the Eternal City! This attractive B&B is located a short distance from the Vatican and St.Peter’s Basilica and very close to San Pietro Railway Station (an important railway junction for connections to all destinations, including Fiumicino and Ciampino airports).

You get up in the morning and, after a good breakfast you can leisurely walk through the historical centre.

A charming B&B, housed at the fourth floor (there is a lift, of course) in an elegant late 19th-century palazzo, which combines stylish furniture and fittings and a very plesant atmosphere. A sensational location: from its windows you can see the Towers of the Papal Apartments, St.Peter’s Basilica’s dome (Michelangelo’s masterpiece), and the entrance to the Vatican Museums.St.Peter’s Square is within a stone’s throw from Sara’s B&B. From there you can walk to Castel Sant’Angelo and, following the right bank of the Tiber, to Trastevere, one of the most picturesque parts of Rome.

The metro (Ottaviano/San Pietro station, 100 metres from the B&B) connect this historical district, named Prati, to all areas of the City. The central location of this elegant B&B, very close to St.Peter’s square, makes it the best choice for your Roman holiday. Housed on the third floor of a building (there is a lift, of course), it has recently undergone a total renovation according to the most recent trend in décor and furniture. It consists of three very comfortable bedrooms, all with air conditioning, TV and Wi-Fi internet connection. Owing to his passion for sailing, the owner has named each room after a wind.

The Levante (East Wind) room, with queen size bed, en-suite bathroom (with shower), marble flooring and balcony.

Daily room cleaning.

From B&B you can walk to St. Peter’s Square and to the Vatican Museums (1,5 km), while by bus (stop very close) you can quickly reach the historical centre, Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori. You can also walk to the large and beautiful park of Villa Pamphili, which really deserves a visit.

A fine bed and breakfast in the area immediately adjacent to the Vatican and is therefore a particularly convenient arrangement, yet quiet for those coming to Rome for tourism.

The house is on the third floor (with elevator) and has recently been refurbished and restored inspired by the latest trends in furnishings.
The rooms available are three
The double as the master bedroom both have their own bathroom (with shower).
All played in shades of brown and black and white Carrara marble floors.
The double room has a balcony.
The single room, with parquet flooring, and also has a bathroom (with shower).

How to reach us

From Fiumicino Airport: you can catch a taxi ( fare around 40 Euros) or a train to Termini Station (around 11 Euros) and from Termini Station bus 64 to Piazza Argentina and from there bus 571 or 916, getting off at Gregorio VII/San Damaso (10 stops). Our B&B is just a few feet away. If you prefer, you can take a taxi from Termini Station for about 15 Euros.

From Ciampino Airport: take a taxi (fare around 45 Euros) or a bus to Anagnina metro station and from there bus 64, get off at Piazza Argentina and change to bus 571 or 916 and get off at Gregorio VII/San Damaso (10 stops). Then it’s a 50 metre walk to our B&B.

From Termini Station: take a taxi fare (around 15 Euros) or bus 64 to Piazza Argentina and bus 571 0r 916 to Gregorio VII/San Damaso (10 stops).

By car: take the GRA (Great Ring Road) and exit at Via Aurelia (direction Città del Vaticano/Centro). When you reach Piazza San Giovanni Battista de la Salle turn right on Circonvallazione Aurelia and go straight on until you reach Via Gregorio VII.

Comfort and elegance are the distinguishing features of this B&B., located at 500 meters from St.Peter’s Square and from the Vatican Museums and very close to Ottaviano Metro Station (line A).

From this ideal location you can reach in a few minutes on foot Castel Sant’Angelo and then walk along the west side of the Tiber to the picturesque district of Trastevere and stroll about the area being fascinated by its colourful tiny streets and alleys and lively corners. And than, crossing the river, you can walk to Campo de’Fiori and to the magnificent Piazza Navona

In just two minutes by metro (two stops) you can reach Villa Borghese and walk up to the top of Pincio Hill from where you will enjoy a breathtaking view over Piazza del Popolo. And then you can walk to the to Trinità dei Monti and go down the Spanish Steps to Piazza di Spagna. Via del Corso and it’s side streets are ideal for shopping. A short walk will take you to the most famous fountain in the world, Fontana di Trevi, whose grandeur will overwhelm you. Walking along Via del Corso towards Piazza Venezia you might chose to turn right and go to the Pantheon, a well preserved building which has been standing for two thousand years. Piazza Venezia’s outstanding monument is the Vittoriano, which hosts important art exhibitions. From Piazza Venezia you can walk to the Imperial Forums and to the Colosseum.

The guest House “La Bomboniera” is within walking distance of the Vatican and St. Peters Railway Station, where urban and long distance trains stop. Near the guest house there is a large commercial street, Via Gregorio VII

where there are shops, bar, restaurants, chemists, newspapers, postal office, supermarhet, cinema, internet point, Mc Donald’s, banks and a lot of buses reaching in a few minutes the city centre: piazza Navona, Borgo Pio, Castel Sant’Angelo, Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi…
