This new B&B, which has recently undergone a major renovation, is located in an ideal position, just in the heart of Via Appia Nuova, 300 meters from San Giovanni in Laterano patriarchal Basilica, which is Rome’s Cathedral. San Giovanni is a very lively district with plenty of pubs, cafés, ethnic restaurants and clubs open all night. It is also a great area for shopping.
Thanks to its convenient location near a metro station our B&B is an ideal choice for your stay in Rome, either for a holiday or for business. A metro ride of just 15 minutes will take you to St. Peter’s and the Vatican Museums.
From San Giovanni Basilica you can simply walk to the Colosseum which, of all the monuments in Rome, is the one which thrills the most.
Absolutely not to miss: At just 2 km. you’ll find Via Appia Antica (Appian way), known to the Romans as the Regina viarum (Queen of roads). On this millenary way, partly still showing the original stone pavement, lie many roman tombs, the most famous of which is the Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella. But the main attraction along Via Appia Antica are the catacombs, an extensive network of subterranean tunnels which were used as communal burial grounds by Rome’s persecuted Christian Community.
Housed on the fifth floor of an attractive late 19th Century residential building, our B&B offers the same comforts and amenities of a top hotel at very reasonable prices.
